MTT Turbine Superbike A.K.A. Y2K

I'm talking about the Helicopter on that road racing against that freaking plane.

MTT Turbine Super-bike , also known as Y2K Turbine SUPERBIKE, is the world's second wheel-driven motorcycle powered by a turbine engine, created by Ted McIntyre of Marine Turbine Technologies Inc.

Powered by a Rolls-Royce-Allison Model 250 turboshaft engine, taken straight out of a helicopter, produces 238 kW (320 hp), the motorcycle has a recorded top speed of 227 mph (370 km/h), with a price tag of US$150,000 (US$185,000 in 2004).

It is recognized by Guinness World Records as the "Most powerful production motorcycle" and the "Most expensive production motorcycle."

To get around the problem of procuring the kerosene usually used in turbine engines, the engine of the bike is also able to use Diesel fuel, or even Jet A fuel.

And what kind of a helicopter-engined superbike is it without some gizmos, in addition to the engine, there are other innovations incorporated into this bike, such as radar detector with laser scrambler, rear-mounted camera with LCD display, and an optional passenger seat. The bike features carbon fiber fairings, one touch "Smart Start" ignition, and more.

The superbike has demonstrated over 300 hp and 425 ft/lbs of torque on the Dyno Jet 200, and has been clocked at a record-breaking 227 mph.

The Porche 911 (Original-1963)

The original Porsche 911 (Nine Eleven) was a sports car made by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. The famous distinctive design was introduced in autumn 1963.The Porsche 911 was developed as a much more powerful, larger, more comfortable replacement for the Porsche 356, the company's first model, and essentially a sporting evolution of the Volkswagen Beetle.

The 911 was notable for being rear engined and air-cooled. From its inception the 911 was modified both by private teams and the factory itself for racing, rallying and other types of automotive competition, Born Racer ain't it!!!

The original 911 series is often cited as the most successful competition car ever. Mainly the powerful 911-derived 935 variant which won 24 Hours of Le Mans and other major sports cars races outright against prototypes.

Major variants:

  1. Carrera RS (1973 and 1974)
  2. Carrera 2.7 / G and H series (1974-1975)
  3. Porsche 964 (1989-1994)
  4. Porsche 935 (1974)

In 2004, Sports Car International named the 911 number three on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s, the Carrera RS number seven on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1970s, and the 911 Carrera number seven on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1980s. In addition, the 911 was voted Number 2 on Automobile Magazine's list of the "100 Coolest Cars". The 997 was nominated for the World Car of the Year award for 2005.

Did You Know-

The 'Porsche 911' initially designated as the "Porsche 901", after its internal project number. But, Peugeot protested on the grounds that in France it had exclusive rights to car names formed by three numbers with a zero in the middle!!! So, instead of selling the new model with another name in France, Porsche changed the name to 911.
